Award winning seafood restaurant with two AA rosettes for culinary excellence. The Old Forge has been featured twice on BBC national television showing Colin the ownerchef proprietor preparing seafood dishes. More recently The Old Forge was featured on Channel 4 on a Cutting Edge documentary Attack of the Tripadvisor. The restaurant is recommended as 'a must' by food critics. The three rooms are oak beamed and are in part of the 14th century building. The Bed and Breakfast is central to the beautiful beaches of Wells Next The Sea and Holkham and is also very close to the beautiful Georgian town of Holt. The Old Forge is based in Thursford home to the famous Christmas Spectacular. The accommodation has been graded as 4 star by the AA. The Old Forge is privately owned and run by Colin and Sarah who are the owners, no Managers, just us offering you a wonderfully personal and friendly service. The Bed and BreakfastRestaurant is situated on the main A148 Fakenham to Holt road at Thursford. Buses are available from all major train stations and airports to either Fakenham or Holt. Local buses are available from all major towns. Norwich airport is the nearest airport and Kings Lynn and Norwich are the nearest stations. Stansted airport is one and a half hours away.
